Need a new Doo-rag / skull cap
My old all cotton Doo-rag is falling apart and I need a new one. Don't mind paying more for a quality one
but don't want a cheap thin one that doesn't absorb sweat. My head is a helmet size medium so most should fit ok. Any good / bad experiences and your recommendations welcomed. Tnx in advance. |
Why would you want a wet sweaty towel on your head?

I've had great results with this style "doo-rag"

I've found the ones from the Harley Stealerships either online or in the store aren't bad. I have 6 of them. 5 are 100% cotton and one is 97% cotton with 3 % spandex, I looked. They tend to keep the inside of my helmets clean. I use them as helmet liners and when they get dirty, I'll just toss them in the wash. These are also the only ones I own that actually cover at least 1/3rd to half of my ears which I like. Other off the wall brands were not nearly as nice, and didn't fit the way I like. The only drawbacks are: they are made in china, at least the ones I have are, and they have the Harley emblem of some kind on them. None that are plain.

If your "doo rag" is wet so is your helmet lining. Remove it and wash it.

Sounds stupid but.. Sally beauty supply. Plenty to choose from. My OL has been getting them for me from there for some time now. |

Easy for you to say! I have 5 motorcycle helmets. Of those only two have removable liners. One is from Harley, and the other is a full face with removable chin bar. (Italian made Vemar Cikiqui) The majority of the time the doo rag or head wrap takes care of the majority of the moisture. I use head wraps with all of my helmets, removable liners or not.For those who don't know what the Vemar Cikiqui looks like: https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...078bb5ef1d.jpg |
