I Hate it When.....
 

Every time there a wreck involving a motorcycle near my home, my wife and mother-in-law assume the worst.

Last night, my wife came home crying because she drove by the scene of an accident, fearful it was me laying in the road. Too many emergency vehicles for her to get close enough. But, when she came in the door crying, I was there, watching "Forged in Fire"

I guess it goes with the territory, along with all your well-meaning relatives reminding you how dangerous it is whenever the subject comes up.

So how many of you guys have loved ones who react the same way when they hear of an accident?

Well, my dad used to give me the "if you don't quit riding that goddamn motorcycle, you're going to die on it!' speech with some frequency.

Kind of the same way. My wife's sister is the worst of anybody in the family. We live in a very rural area and lots of people have scanners that catch all the emergency dispatch calls.
God forbid a motorcycle accident be dispatched anyplace near home and sister in law will be on the phone calling to see where we are.

Yep, I get to listen to that crap from my mother. She means well, but shit, give it a rest
I'm not gonna stop riding because someone else got in a wreck. Using her mentality, I would have to stop taking my morning dump because Elvis died on the crapper......

I heard it for a week when I crashed a bike at high speed and ended up in the trauma

"I hate it when..." People use click-bait titles instead of just saying what the thread is about.

You should call her everytime there's a car crash on the news, ask if she's OK until she gets the message and stops.

Or...... be thankful that you have someone in your life that loves you and wants to keep you around maybe?
