1997 Super Glide: Screamin' Eagle or OEM Domestic Mufflers
Friends,
Just bought a 1997 FXD Dyna Super Glide with only 7,400 miles on it... now I'm in the process of bringing it closely to its original condition and what's missing are the mufflers.
The bike came with the exhaust and mufflers but they're the restricted International version which makes almost no sound.
I'm looking into getting a pair of domestic US mufflers (which have a decent sounding) P/N stamped on it should be either 65747-94 or 65747-90A
Other option would be the SE Slip Fit Pro Torque Mufflers with a PN as 80061-00 (tapered design)
Can anyone help me in locating any of those options?
Thanks

I have some Evo era SE muffler's on my twin cam and love the sound not to loud but has good deep rumble. I would imagine they sound even better on a Evo. I did put a chisel hole threw the center due to first Dyno had done needed to stick tube threw it, made just tad louder.
I Googled this numbers mine look different. They have end caps that come off.

I've got a pair of Screaming Eagle mufflers I took off my '98 FXD when I got it. Only reason I put new pipes on was because I like the sound of the V&H slip-ons like I had on my '09 FXD.
The SE pipes are a bit rough and need a good bit of elbow grease to clean up, and will still probably have a few scratches and black on the back sides of them after, but 99% of that won't be seen unless one is looking close and on their hands and knees inspecting for that.
Let me know if you're interested, and if you are I'll get a few pictures and sell 'em for $50 plus whatever it will be for postage (they're exhaust pipes after all and heavy, heh). Send me a PM with your e-mail address if you are interested in them and I'll send some pictures.

I put a set like this on my wife's Dyna. Nice sound when on the throttle, and actually kinda quiet when leveled off on the highway. Not expensive, either.
