Renting out a personal motorcycle

A relative of mine who seems to think having more than one motorcycle at a time is excessive, and or probably wants me to quit riding together (rolling eyes)
last night suggested something to me as to something I should participate in. Make money off my mc instead of spend money on it. I'm leery of it. Has anyone ever rented motorcycles from this company, or rented their motorcycles for this companies use?

Let me sum up the idea of renting a personal motorcycle out, no and hell no. Your insurance company would probably have a few choice things to say about it too.

If you could get insurance...which I doubt...It would wind up costing you more than you make.

Didn't take long to sum it up for me.

You know they would beat the hell out of your bike .no one but me ever riding my bike.

That has to be one of the most ludicrous ideas one can think of.

Rental companies have massive personal liability insurance policies to cover idiots that get injured on their bikes. Not so much a private individual. And I trust some fly by night app rental place to have my back as much as I trust a politician to tell the truth. Some idiot wrecks your bike, some other idiot ambulance chaser says he can get them bookoo bucks because you didnt put the fuel filler cap in the correct spot when filling up causing said wreck due to negligence. I think not.

Very high chance your bike eventually gets 'rented' out permanently, never to be seen again.
