I hear that brand of Nitrogen (S.E.) isn't legit in Calif. because it is performance.

I get to a lot of dealerships and have never noticed a dealer selling nitrogen, but vendors. Last time I noticed it was going for $45 a tire.

Best thing about that scam, is there's no way to prove they actually put nitrogen in the tires.

Only if you're foolish enough to let them.

When N2 for tires first rolled out, all the local tire shops pushed the crap out of it- a really hard sell for about $10/tire. Now they don't even mention it.
Not sure if any are even carrying the stuff anymore.

For free, I'd let them put it in. No way I'd pay for it.

Besides the fact that it will void your warranty (ok, I'm kidding, chill out), its been discussed 12 trillion times on the forums. Conclusion: useless.

Well since I have access to a gas chromatograph I would say - I can.
I also have 2 nitrogen cylinders in my truck and air in my tires.

If you do use nitrogen, do you use the standard or synthetic? Which one is better and why?

I don't really want an answer, I'm just being a wiseass

If the snakeoil they use to sell it was true...ie the oxygen molecules leak out of the tire....then you would wind up with pure nitrogen in the tires anyway...should take but a few top offs to get there.
