That's why I left that state as fast as I could. Weather sucks. Telethon would come around and I knew it was all down hill after that....for a loooooong time. 4th of July in sweatshirts, summers where people couldn't even open their pools, NOT one 90* day. Rain and mosquitos. I'll take my months of 90* days with heat indexes into the 100's, copperhead snakes, swimming pools, HVAC still running, sand fleas, alligators ANYDAY over Wisconsin weather. I know,. I used to live there.

With a waterfront home in NJ and FL, I would like to see the climate cooler, the polar ice caps larger, sea levels falling, and fewer, weaker cyclonic storms (already been beat up by Sandy and Irma). Problem is, the Lady likes waterfront, boating, and warmer weather, or I'd be living on a mountain in Alaska!

I spent three years in Ann Arbor Michigan and the weather there almost killed me. Like 2 weeks of good weather each year it seemed. Other than that, I was freezing to death or about to die of heat stroke. Madison, WI and Ann Arbor, MI are great midwest towns but not sure how people cope with the weather. Locals would make fun of me because I dressed like a damn astronaut because it was so cold.
Interviewed in Chicago after school but got the @#$@$ outta there when I saw sideways rain and wind strong enough to push over a semi it seems.
I like the moderate temps and weather in Seattle, but I have to deal with earthquakes and volcanos taking me out so there's that….

Exactly why I left in 2015. 35 years was enough.
So Cal was nice, but expensive, and eventually the weather got boring believe it or not. And that jobs comment above was bullshit, no better pay and higher cost of living is called the Sun Tax.
Now I'm in Tampa. Kinda like WI pay but much warmer. Lotsa rain tho, at least this summer there was. Looking forward to fall/winter.
