The dealership where I bought my last bike offered "free" winter storage if you spent $500 or more on service or upgrades the fall before the storage season began.

So you just dropped 10k on the bike you FINALLY decided was the right one for you, and now you are considering outdoor storage? It's not a gas grill that you wrap up for a NY winter. Make room in your man cave, or pay for secure storage, or start a new thread next spring titled: "I'll never do that again".

I'm talking about one of those "U-store" self-storage places where you can rent a garage sized unit, and lock the bike in there for the winter. I had to do that for a few weeks a couple of years back when we had a new floor poured in the garage in the early spring.

the temperature is not the problem. this is a machine after all. if you can charge the battery
properly not much else will suffer damage.

if is below freezing you need lighter weight oil in the motor.

otherwise it is your comfort level that matters. how cold do you want to get?

dang, I am happy to live in a kind of moderate climate. I keep a battery tender on all winter and find
decent weather every 3 or 4 weeks all winter. central Kansas.

such a nice bike, we are all happy you are not leaving it outside.

You'd better be putting that scooter in the house unless you want a major mess in the spring

Here’s what you posted in another thread of yours:

You’re asking questions as if you’ve never owned a bike before. Where did you store your sport bikes? What did you do to ready them for the winter? Do the same for the new harley.

Someone who'd owned bikes for 10yrs wouldn't be asking (all) these questions. . . .

Really?? I owned a bike for 6 years between ages 19-24. Shitty used bike, never had forums like this and I was young. Just left it outside. THe last 3-4 years I left my GSXR outside on plywood, took the battery out, fill it with gas and fuel treatment and started it every month.

NOW I HAVE A HARLEY. A bit different.. RIght??? Can you understand now that I explained myself? BTW, real douche comment.
