Default Winter Storage Outside

So I searched the forums a little and didn't find much on what or if I can leave my 2017 motorcyle outside for the winter here in NY. I don't have a garage( damn man cave I turned it into..lol). Can I wrap it up good and take battery out? Thanks.

How about renting a self storage unit for the winter? I wouldn’t leave a motorcycle outside in winter, wrapped or otherwise.

Many Harley dealers offer inside winter storage for a nominal fee. That’s another possibility.

I can look into a self storage unit but don't have a lot of room in backyard. I think I'll look into the winter storage at Harley dealer. Thanks.

I have a friend who owns a golf course.... he has an addition to the club house and had a basement put in that he stores his carts in over the winter. It is heated to around 60° and I can plug my battery tender in. He charges $75 for the season. I love it...it's safe and secure. You might check some local golf courses and see if the do the same. Or talk to someone who stores a car over the winter. May be another option.
Good luck!!

wait, you turned your garage into a man cave and now do not know where to park your motorcycle?

does your man cave have a door?

but to answer your question, as long as you have a secure place, the motorcycle will wait patiently for summer.
no real problem. the security thing would be highest on my worry list.

Where in NY? I wouldn’t suggest this a a option, lot of independent dealers and HD offer storage, it is quite lot of money to leave to the elements.

If you did I would spray everything I could with WD 40 first and buy the best cover possible.

Long Island....I'm going to store it at Harley..just a little bit of $$ but worth it. Or maybe I'll buy a little insulated shed. Do I have to have the bike climate controlled?

I gave my dining room table away...

No wife...

The fairing did have to come off the Tour Glide to fit through the door when it spent a winter there, couple smaller bikes were no problem. It's not having room so much as a warm place to work on them.

That is a good choice, I am in Tug Hill so 200 inches of snow and 30 below is a normal winter.
Dealer normally does everything and probably has heated, a battery tender and a cover is always good idea no matter what you do
