Bike Cover - is HD version worth the $$
#32
This winter will be the 13th winter that I've stored my Springer in my unheated garage and I've seen temps close to zero and below at times. I don't put a cover on it and haven't had any issues what so ever. A lot of my old school friends do it the same way. Why waste perfectly good money on an expensive cover when it's not needed. Never had any issues with mice either.

My bikes are parked outside and both are covered with Dowco Guardian Weatherall Plus Indoor/Outdoor covers. They work great and are very well made. I had a HD version but I didn't like the fit so I sold it.
If you do get the Dowco I recommend buying it one size larger than what is recommended so it fits closer to the floor.
They are really nice covers. Not cheap but will last a long time.

UltraGard Classic Cover from Fortnine in Canada when it was on sale. (around $80 at the time, I think_)
On the off chance I was going to travel, I didn't want to advertise " Hey!, there's a Harley under here!!"
Normally, there's a couple old bed sheets the wife sewed together tossed overtop of it in the garage, but when it goes to sleep for the winter, I use this so I don't get sawdust or metal grinding shavings on it when other work is going on.
