Default Simpson Mod Bandit

I was ready to pull the trigger on a Ghost Bandit, but then i noticed Simpson now have a modular for not a lot more money. Light weight for a modular. Just wondering if anyone has one and would care to comment? Not a lot of reviews out there for this helmet.

A Modular helmet is ALWAYS a Smart choice. That's my 2 cents on the issue.

Thanks, that was the only review i could find too. Not a lot out there on this helmet at the moment.

I don't usually look at modular helmets because of weight, but this and the AGV Sport modular carbon get under the weight limit i like. I'm not even sure i need the modular feature, never owned one, but it does tick all the boxes on my check list for a new helmet.

Tagging this as I am interested and may be looking for a new modular helmet. Cold winter weather is the only time I wear one.

One thing i've seen in reviews is that Bandits move a lot of air. Some of the chin vents on the Mod Bandit can't be closed, so i'm not sure this would be the best option if you're looking for a winter helmet. I guess it depends on how cold your winters are. You could always use tape to cover the vents for winter, which is probably what i'll end up doing if i decide to buy one.

I'll wait til more reviews start trickling in, wouldnt mind seeing some other color choices too. From the looks, it looks like a great competitor to the Neotec 2 from Shoei but 1/3 less price.

Never owned 1 but from everything I’ve read and heard they are LOUD and the quality doesn’t reflect the price......

Take a look at the Schuberth C3 Pro. About the same weight and worlds better when it comes to quality, finish and noise levels.
