Default Parts question - exploded drawing

maybe I know this answer, but at the moment I can't think of it,

in the pics below, on the upper wheel, it has three numbers, 27, 28 and 29. In the wheel below is the installed wheel from the factory. It is line number 30. There is no 31 in the item list

What do the numbers 27, 28 and 29 reference? I know they are alternative wheels but where do you find the part numbers?

yep, alternate wheels, or on a different spec model using the same breakdown (touring family as an example). check different bikes in the same family, and chances are you will find the answer you seek

Because you selected a 2017-19 FLHRXS Road King Special instead of your 2018 FLHR Road King

nope, I selected the bike I wanted to look at

I thought there might be an easier way to cross reference numbers rather than having to open up every model to see what the part number is

so here is what I think maybe the coolest looking wheels on Harley's at the moment, starting at around 2:00

You may be just using it as an example ... but if it matters, #30/31 and the wheel in the video aren't the same.

.

Go to the Harley-Davidson Service Information portal and use the upper right hand search for the bike you are interested in, example "2018 Touring" without the quotes.

https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson.com/sip/index

You will find a document in the list like "2018 HARLEY-DAVIDSON® PARTS CATALOG: TOURING MODELS"
The document will list all the parts for all the touring models and show which models they are used on-

Code:
+----+-----------+----------------------------------------------------------------------------+----------------------------------------+
| 30 | 40900026 | WHEEL, 16 in cast, without bearings and sleeve, 10 spoke (black) | FLHR, FLHTCU, FLTRU |
| 31 | 40900033 | WHEEL ASSEMBLY, 16 in cast, without bearings and sleeve, 5 spoke (black) | FLHX, FLHX ANV, FLTRX |
| 32 | 40900391 | WHEEL, 16 in cast, without bearings and sleeve, 10 spoke (contrast chrome) | FLHTK, FLHTK ANV, FLHTK SHRINE, FLHTKL |
| 33 | 40900484A | WHEEL, 18 in cast, without bearings and sleeve, 21 spoke (black) | FLHRXS |
| 34 | 43000002 | REAR AXLE | ALL |
| 35 | 40900503 | WHEEL, 18 in cast, without bearings and sleeve, 15 spoke (black) | FLHXS, FLHXS ANX, FLTRXS |

Thanks, that's much better than looking at the Outpost Alaska and similar sites
