It turned out be a good morning and good class. This was the West Palm Beach bunch doing the class. I didn’t really learn much that I hadn’t already seen on YouTube watching Jerry but the course forces you to get off your *** and do those skills drills in front of a group of 15 so I think that’s the real benefit. I’ve tried it on my own often enough but the games different when you’re being critiqued. I also saw a couple really nice bikes lying on their side which is another good reminder why to practice and be proficient
the rain dissipated overnight so the roads were still wet. Fog brought the visibility down to a 100 yards in places but by 9:00 we were hookin and jabbin
The battery heated gloves did well enough to get me into town and every hour I was stripping off another layer. It was 37* when I left the house
a couple before and after pics of the visibility

Hey, I thought all you ATGATT guy were big on wearing all that crap. If you can't practice in that gear and weather then you certainly shouldn't be wearing and riding in it. I was always a big believer in "practice in what you perform in." Because in real life how you practice determines how you'll perform. Man up.

Several years ago I attended the Wharf Rat Rally in Digby, Nova Scotia. Huge event for that area, 30,000 motorcycles are common. Anyway, I recall a 110 pound(?), 5'4'(?) Fox, riding an Ultra, rolling up next to me at the curb. Aesthetically, she interested me? The Rally had various events to amuse the Christians and one was bike handling through traffic-cones. I was surprised to see that she was one of the entrants, in fact the only female in the class of big-twins. She killed the course! Later over drinks she confessed that she was American and had taken the RLAP in Florida. Her father was USAF and on exchange, attached to the Maritime Patrol Aircraft squadron located in the Annapolis valley. She had grown up riding motorcycles - family thing but admitted that the skill she demonstrated was a direct result of the RLAP motivating her to master slow speed handling. Apparently she skiid with the same degree of skill she demonstrated on two wheels! The following winter I signed up for skiing lessons - but that's another story!
