Default brake failures 2019 models

I know of two 2019 RGS that had the secondary hydraulic brake actuator fail - causing the bike to launch at start up; mine being one of them.

No recall has been issued for any of the 2019 touring bikes with hydraulics brakes "YET" that I am aware of.

Anyone else?

Standby.

What is a secondary hydraulic brake actuator? And why does your bike not have a neutral safety switch?

There is no "secondary hydraulic brake actuator".
Trying to start the cold bike in gear? Don't.

My guess is he's talking about a Hydraulic Clutch not brakes.

Me have never made a practice of starting the bike in gear, especially when cold.

Clearly demonstrates an extremely low level knowledge of brakes on any vehicle on the road.

Oh...how the heck could a bike launch at start up, even if the brakes didn’t work at all? That means you started it in gear, and either didn’t pull in the clutch & the clutch interlock switch didn’t work...or with the clutch disengaged there was enough drag to “ launch” the bike.

I still call BS!

By the way the owners manual says to start in neutral.

Why would anyone want to start their motorsicle NOT being in neutral?

It's the fluctuating frio stat switch. The service bulletin for the repair is number I'd-10-T. Take your bike in to your dealership for the repairs
