Since you're getting your wallet out anyway to get your drivers license, I keep mine in my wallet with that. No risk of being stolen, destroyed by weather, whatever, and I always have it with me.

I have a small leather pouch I keep in my jacket pocket. In it I have a copy of my Durable Power of Attorney (medical directive), reg/ins cards, a photocopy of my license and a few bucks in case I left my wallet home.
I figure if I'm down and out, I want my ID on my person.

Shouldnt even need to carry paper. The police should be able to run the tag and get all that info. We have the technology, LEO's just want to reserve the right to be ********* about it if you cant produce paper.....

Wallet. We don't keep anything with our name and address in any of our vehicles.

The less **** the government has in their archaic, constantly hacked systems the better.
I'll go with paper.

I talked to a California Highway Patrolman just today at the Long Beach Motorcycle show. I was asking about transporting a handgun.

He said in a locked container, ammo separate, in my bags. He also said to keep registration and insurance info in a place where i wouldn't have to open my bags.

Geez, what good is a handgun in a locked container, with ammo in a separate location? I am sure the crooks will wait on you to get that all figured out. What a joke, unless the crooks must tell you when they will attack and then count to ten. 1Mississippi, 2Mississ.....
