I only have 2 summers on my 'King and have NEVER ridden another Harley. Before last spring, I hadn't been on a bike in 35 or so years, so like I say....just what I've read here...wondered out loud and whatnot. I'm def a newb.

Not looking to start a fight...I'm not saying it is.....I am asking the question......and was just interested in whether you agree and if not, why/whynot.

Maybe the Heritage or a bagged Sporty is for all I know.

Thanks guys and gals !

Yes it very versatile !!!

The Sport Glide ranks pretty high for versatility to me. I like that it looks good with no saddlebags.

That said, I'm sticking with my Road King.

Road kings are nice, so are Roadglides which I personally believe is the best touring bike Harley makes, having owned two of them. If your talking versatility then I would have to say the Dyna Switchback is the most versatile bike Harley made. I say made cause they don't make them anymore. They can do anything like you described, windshield, no shield, Fairing no fairing, Saddlebags no saddlebags, tour pack, yup you can get those as well. 2 Up seat, solo seat etc etc. The biggest advantage it has over the Roadking is its a lot lighter, same powertrain, and its a bit smaller so females feel more comfortable on it, something the Roadking can't do as its a full sized Touring bike.
I love both of mine....

...I have a 2016 Trike now due to be able to ride much easier with the wife, but I used to have an '05 RK & a '15 RK, still my favorite Harley motorcycles. The '05 had a Big Jug kit installed, was 95ci, gear drive cams, etc., and dyno'ed 98.2hp. Was a fun machine!!!

Yes. Yes it is.
I've said it before, but the 'King is the best combination of form & function of any Harley. That's why I own one.

I was just having this conversation with a couple of my bros this past weekend. We all three agree the RK is the best model. I also think the Springer is way cool too as you can see.

Either a FXR or Dyna model. Sportsters are too small for distance. FLs are too large and oriented towards mile munching.

And that's why almost all police motorcycles are and police competitions are performed with touring models (FL"s)...because they are as nimble as Dyna's (I know I have owned both) and built for the long hauls !!!!!!
