I ran into a product that will keep your mouth moist. It is called TheraBreath. It works even around the house. If you are older, you may find that you must drink a sip all of the time than you must hit the head regularly. Sucks getting up every hour or two. Anyhow, if this helps, than be knowings things is a good thing.

I get dry mouth while sleeping because I am a mouth breather with my CPAP crap.
Otherwise my flap stays shut and generally moist..especially important when riding. No need for an open mouth to act as a fly catcher.

 

I just chew gum.

OP, If you're thirsty and pissing a lot, make sure you don't have Diabetes...I found out I had it after being so thirsty I drank 4 gallons of spring water in 12 hours and was in the bathroom literally every 5 minutes one night.
