That's one of the basic laws of Physics. If you don't have a windshield you don't need windshield wipers.

So I'm limping along in the slow lane at maybe 25-30 mph, flashers on, wiping the window the best can, while trying not to die. And as I'm white knuckling my truck in this soup, thinking damn this sucks.... some guy on a Sportster goes flying by me like its a beautiful sunny day. And all I could think was..... Damn, you got NOTHING for that guy!
Get yourself some rain-x windshield wiper fluid and never worry about rain on the windshield again.
I hardly ever use my wipers in the rain anymore.
The only time I do is to reapply the rain-x if it's been a while since the last rain.

I was younger, leaner and meaner when I rode my Sportster. No windshield and an open 3/4 helmet.
Typical FLH riders were wealthier, older and softer characters

I do remember the days when the weather meant a lot less to me on a bike, than it does now. But those days are gone! Lol.

Back when I rode a Victory, there was a 70 year old member on the board that lived in Minnesota and his only form of transportation was his Vision. (Better man than me)

With age comes wisdom? Or perhaps different priorities?

I heard that, some mornings the heater wins nowadays. Body just does not deal with it like it used too.

Budget allows choices that it didn't 40 years ago, too.

I've been without wipers before in torrential rain in a cage. It's a bit different than being on a bike. HOWEVER, how one is set up on a bike plays a huge factor in ones ability to see and operate a bike somewhat safely.

But OP, excellent story!!!

Been there, done that, no need to do it again on purpose.
Riding to get home from work through pouring rain with one hand and the other hand cleaning my face mask.
