Default Sold Harley to RO but curious ?

sorry but I redacted my post! I was told my bike was going to an auction and that was wrong. I saw it on RO sale site and a bike that is coming soon! I sold it for 10K and they have it advertised for 12588. Wow! I tried to sell it on cycle trader and other sites for 10,500 and got no response ! Interesting ??

If you were happy with the price you got from Ride On, stop stressing over what they will do with it, or how they will make any money on the deal. That's their problem now. You unloaded it and lost a little extra to not have to worry about it any longer. So get your money's worth!

I will bet a dealer will bid on it at the auction.

Not really...just let it go. You sold the bike at a big lose due to the mods on it and it's ok...I'm sure you won't make that mistake again.

Just take a deep breath and be happy the bike is no longer in your possession.

I don't know what your original post was. But I would be interested to know if your mileage was different after you sold it to them. Basically wondering if they test rode it during their "inspection". I was in the process of purchasing a bike through them, and they told me they do test ride them. But the mileage was the same that was in the picture, still in the guys driveway that sold it. Aside from that, I had the bike on hold for a week. After I backed out, it went back up for sale. There was a countdown left of 3 days. During that time, no one put a hold on it. The time expired, and now its gone. I wonder what they do with them?? Sell them at auction??

Never look back, you made the best deal you could at the time. Don't beat yourself up with sellers remorse, if you had to sell for personal reasons let it go.

once you've sold your bike, why do you care what the new owner does with it? would it going to auction/not going to auction made a difference in your sale?

It's just like stock trading - never look back.
If you were not reasonably satisfied with the price you got - you would not have sold it.
Now, OTOH, if I sold some old crusty tea pot at a yard sale for $2 and found out later it was a super rare collector's $200,000 tea pot ...

$2500 is not a huge profit considering that they pay to ship the bike then pay for documentation transfers and probably pay to have the bike gone over by a mechanic. Once all that is said and done the future buyer will probably haggle them down another $500 or so on the asking price so they are probably only making about $1000 - $1500 on the bike at the end of the day.
