Craigslist is your friend. Look for a used Kendon folding trailer. Built for hauling bikes, much better than HF trailer.

I've never used one of HF's trailers myself but know a few who do. If you get it, like someone else said, pack the bearings good right off the bat. Better yet buy a good set of bearings, pack them and replace the cheap ones it came with. With good tires and bearings those trailers pull fine if you get your load placed right. Might need to put a cooler or toolbox mounted on the front of the tongue to get some weight up front.

If your finances are such that you don't have to buy the absolutely most cheap-***, Chinese-made, folding trailer on the market, there are several folding motorcycle trailers, some even aluminum, on the market which would give you a better chance of getting to your destination and back. You might even consider renting a motorcycle trailer from U-haul before you buy, to make sure that this kind of venture is really going to be for you. Also, get a decent hitch and a brake set-up. Good luck and enjoy your adventure...

Teach you?

Ok, ALWAYS make sure you have the hitch firmly attached to the correct ball size, BEFORE you begin to load your bike. Quite the situation arises if this isn't followed. (Yes, I've done it.) With one of my race bikes, back in the early 1980's...

Find a used Kendon, buy GOOD straps and soft ties.

Those cheap trailers are good for around town, but small tires turn fast, build heat and beat bearings... to say nothing of the cheap tires on them.

You would be better off renting a U Haul trailer for those times you need it than using one of those low dollar ones IMHO.

I have moved bikes up and down the east coast on open trailers.... always 15" wheels with freshly packed bearings, 2 spare tires, a Condor wheel chock hard mounted to the floor, and lost of straps that compressed the suspension just enough so that it would be active and the straps would hold tight.

DO NOT LEAVE IT ON THE SIDE STAND OR IN GEAR

You can get a hitch that is specifically designed to fit your vehicle and bolt right into existing holes in the frame. I got one from etrailer a few years ago. It fit my car perfectly and went on real easy. Price was fair too.

The only issue I see would be backing these little trailers as you can’t see them until they are out of shape without a backup camera. Used to drive me crazy backing up a jet ski trailer.

heres two I found online after searching for double axle trailers. The first one sold by active power sports looks promising?

LOL, these are for toy remote control cars. Maybe sarcasm was intended, not sure.

A used Kendon would work nicely, they are always on Craigslist and sometimes reasonably priced.
