So do I. I routed my cable as shown in the owner's manual. It doesn't touch the exhaust or painted parts. I used a cable tie to secure it in place.

Just make sure it doesn't get pinched under the seat somewhere, did that once and popped the fuse.

You don't need to mess around under the seat, just the left side cover, on the 2014 FLHTK.

Mine is on the left saddlebag support. Need to get off my butt and move it to the right side as that's how it works best in my garage. Dyna it just laid on the transmission.

Hangin down between the oil bag and rear fender on right side just a swinging
