So where's MikerR1, the guy who started the epic thread on counter steering? This discussion looks like it's right in his wheelhouse.

he followed his own advice, went off the left side of the road on the first turn and is still trying to get back up to the road after going down into the gulley.

The sign states sharp right then sharp left, so that's what I would expect.

I'm thinking that the sign says says 20 MPH so I should be OK up to about 40 MPH.

With the curves, no street lights and the road grade, this would make for an interesting experience on a rainy night.

Yep, yellow road signs are advisory and not regulatory. Suggested speeds around curves are conservative and set by civil engineers on the advice of attorneys who work for the Department of Transportation. If you crash because you are going too fast, they wash their hands and say, "we told you so".
You can see at least two locked wheel rear skids on the second screen shot. I'll bet those rocks have a lot of stories to tell.

What are you thinking and doing?

I'm thinking that so far I have had a great day riding and it's about to get even better. Right after that I'm thinking I'm about to grind another 1/4 inch off of my foot boards.
