IIRC Silver Flux & Black Fuse along with Black Denim & Scorched Orange are being discontinued due to production/Q.C. problems. It's not likely to be a very common color as a result.

To me it comes down the the stereo. The Road King and Road Glide are the two best handling touring bikes. If a stereo is not important, the king also offers the strip down feature the Fugly does not. If creature features like tunes and Navigation are important to you...... Fairing all the way.

When I hear that, I think of the ones out there they sold to people. I would be worried about the paint having problems.

I'm not kidding anyone, it's going to be the Road King Special. Side by side, HD is charging as much for a Road Glide Ultra as they are for that Road Glide in the silver flux. Ridiculous. I don't want the Ultra but at least with it you get a two up touring seat/backrest, tour pack and fairing lowers.

$29,589 Road Glide Special w/ paint upgrade to Silver Flux / Black Fuse

$29,889 Road Glide Ultra w/ paint upgrade to Silver Flux / Black Fuse

I'm not in love with the radio or nav. It kills me that HD raised the price again a grand on the RKS this year over last year and they charge more money for the RKS and less stuff than what's on the standard Road King.

But they look cool, I'll give them that

Couldn’t have gone wrong, RG and RK are both fan-effin-tasting. The two best in the whole lineup!

I walked into the dealer and was stuck between the Road Glide and Road King... I was leaning toward the Glide because Im one of those weirdo's that think its an awesome looking bike but ..... That RKS is as well.... Rode them both and sat on the Street Glide too.. It came down to one thing for me, As much as I liked the RKS I dont like wind shields on them and the buffering on the Road Glide made for such a great ride I ended up with it.. 2019 Road Glide from a 2016 Street Bob, talk about an upgrade... Ride em all and decide what ones best for you..

in over 40 years of riding.... I have never purchased a bike, that I would have thought about 6 months earlier...
oh... I take demo rides, and I research models, and if asked, I will wax philosophically about how <insert model here> will be my next bike....but then.... I see THIS bike, and all my prep goes out the window

sometimes the best laid plans go astray

I like the way both bikes ride, with the King it's just you and the ride, no tunes, nav. Just basic motor. Touring on a RGU ain't no bad way to go, nice to have the extras. If it came to a push I'd keep the King.
