" and what fit what. "
back then, everything fit everything. And, they would give you a nut or bolt if they had one laying around that fit.

OOOO the old days when you walked into a motorcycle dealer. Brand did not matter. I smelt fresh paint, rubber, leather, gas and oil. Bikes could be heard running and men's voices boomed through the dealer. The service area was always visible and many were easy to access. There were many more multiline dealers back then. Check out the Harley's, Honda's, Duc's, Nortons. Always interesting people around. And when there was a event,, it was a event! Never remember high pressure sales crap that seems to be the norm today and dealer employee's really knew their products. They were enthusiast. Most dealers now are like a mall food court that you can't smell the food in. Can't see the food being made and have no desire to eat.

When I was a teenager in the 70's and rode the metrics I used to go to the Harley dealership here. Always wanted a Harley but couldn't afford it. Like other people have said they were dirty shops that smelled but always liked going there. Dick Farmer Harley was the dealer in Orlando. I think it used to be on OBT.
