Default Laid my new bike down today, DAMN

Decided to take a ride today since the weather was 60+ Deg and sun shinning. I road to the Mississippi River Levee and decided to pull up on the levee to look at the flood waters on the other side of the levee. I road out on to the levee road which was covered with crushed up asphalt material. I was sorta on the right outer edge of the road because there was a boat ramp just ahead and wanted to leave room for people coming out of the ramp. Put both feet down when I stopped and was looking at the flood water over my left shoulder when the ground up asphalt under my right foot gave way and there was nothing that I could but let the bike lay down. Scratched the lower faring damn it. Oh well, it's not very noticeable and now I have the first scratch on my new bike.

Can’t express my sentiments better than this.
Just don’t let it get you too down, and stay positive!

Depending on your deductible it may be worth it to file a claim.

Idiot.

Just kidding.

I was working in my garage one day, and decided to take a break sitting on the bike. Leaned it on its side stand, except I never put down the side stand! Didn't even know what happened before I was laying on the ground with the bike.

No biggie, but it finished my evening is pretty poorly.

I think just about everybody on this forum has done something similar to that. You didn’t get hurt and only scratched your bike. It could have been a lot worse.
