"Inspector" for Tire and Wheel claim?
On NYE I hit an unknown hazard on my way to work and bent both wheels. Thankfully I did not go down and was able to exit the freeway before I lost all the air from my front tire. I have Wheel and Tire coverage and my dealership said upon inspection those were the only things damaged. They did however mention an "inspector" would be reviewing my claim this week.
I was wondering if all claims are reviewed by someone in that manner. It just sounded like it was not something that particular service rep was used to. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...54b36d5a07.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...7d9f9a8271.jpg |
2 things, one being they want to be sure an owner isn't trying to get one over on them and secondly the bastards are always looking for ways to deny claims. Moco has gotten real bad about this the last couple years.

Damn, I thought you west coast boys had perfect roads out there!!!
So far, every claim I have ever made required a review period when they KNOW a real shop is gonna repair it. If they suspect your gonna try to fix it yourself, I always seem to get a next day check at SIGNIFIGANTLY less that the repair will likely cost. Then when I bitch up as storm..... I get the review. |

As I was replying HD called me back and said it was approved for replacement under my Wheels and a Tires coverage! Paying the difference between the stock black tires for WWW! |

I would be looking at having the entire Bike look at. Frame, Shocks and Mounting brackets, Motor mounts, Steering, etc. After taking that kind of "HIT".
Glad you made it through it. :) was your underwear covered ? :))) KenK |
WTF did you run over, a land mine?

Did you $hit your pants. |
Yeah all 3rd party warranty companies have an inspector or claims admin for warranty claims. Usually when I submit claims online they are reviewed and approved/denied based on that customers plan coverages. I think our warranty company has a $1500 cutoff, meaning under 1500 they may ask questions but usually approve within the hour. Over $1500 they may ask for pictures or even send an inspector out before approval. Inspectors are usually at the dealer within 24-48 hours and report to the warranty company their findings.
