Ever since the '06 WideGlide, the Co. has had a history of making bikes look great from the seat forward, then completely destroying & uglifying the rear fender area. I see nothing has changed.

One of our members in the FXDR owners group on Facebook has put t bars on his and a couple other modifications. It's interesting.

as far as mid controls go, there's nowhere to put them because of the way the engine is laid out. Blockhead talked about this on YouTube on his bike.

The only thing I have done with mine is change out the Mirrors to dominion mirrors, and bring back the clip-ons about 3/8". Next month, I will be temporarily removing the front & Rear fenders to get hydro dipped (Rooster Concepts , not sure exactly what I am going to do to them yet, but here is an example of some of his work:
