Bite the bullet - sunscreen!

I just had a Basel cell cut out of my nose. I was in HVAC for 45 years. My arms and head look like I lost a paintball match. Plus, if skin cancer metastasizes ... you're dead. I'm currently using Fluorouracil cream to try to treat pre-cancerous spots. You may be tough, but the sun always wins!

 

On this point above...........it is rare for me to go to the dermatologist annually without having him either FREEZE something suspicious or CUT OUT something. And yes, he did once find cancer. Surprisingly, in my pubic area that does not get sun, there was a cyst or mass type of thing. He took a biopsy and sure enough it was malignant. It was 1 of the bad ones. He cut me open and took it out.

It is unlikely to reoccur but I can guaranty you, it is a part of my annual checkup.

For those of u that may not know, skin damage is accumulative.....over all the years you were outside exposed to the sun. As u get older, it is now coming to a head. Kinda like hearing loss. OH don't get me started on that one. It is a great way to make enemies.

 

get the real thin kind that lets wind through. I ride with them in Florida in the summer all the time, never get hot.

 

use a bigger straw
