This is my favorite part of that article...They cant be serious.

And just because it’s electric doesn’t mean motorcycle lovers have to sacrifice that distinctive rumble of speed. Harley says LiveWire is designed to produce “a new signature Harley-Davidson sound as it accelerates.”

I wonder how they’ll get around fixing warranty claims, maybe they’ll require owners to use HD Genuine Electricity to charge it

I was gonna guess an extremely thin line of coke but didn't want to derail the thread.

30k? Harley is their own worst enemy. I have no doubt some will sell as potential collector pieces or novelty items for the rich and aimless. But the target market has many options well south of 10k that probably get 40-45 mpg. At current average price for regular gas..... 355,000 miles worth of gas till you break even on fuel costs. Its a product your average Harley customer doesn't want and its priced well beyond the means of those who would be in the market for it.

That's worse than Sportster mileage with a 3.3 tank....

Well, if you can't beat the EPA, try Underwriter's Laboratory.
