Default Factory 47 Bars machined wrong!

I received my Factory 47 bars yesterday. They are supposed to be compatible with my 19 Limited with heated grips. The right side went together fine. But the heating element won’t insert all the way on the left side. It stops with an inch and a half to go. Called Factory 47 they said hmmm should work but ok send them back and we’ll remachine them. What! I waited a month and a half for those damn bars. Pulled all the wires for nothing. They don’t manufacture in house. So that means I ship.... they ship... rework gets done then they ship to F47... then they ship. We’re talking several weeks! I’m pissed. The holes are 30/1000 smaller to begin with. But the element started in anyway. But to have the inside diameter get smaller to the point where it doesn’t work. Ridiculous.

I truly do sympathize with you but is there possibly an easy fix using a hand help grinding wheel or cutting wheel, maybe a Dremel type tool? Should have seen the insides of my last KST bars. Yeah, other than the turnaround time difference I was pretty pissed.

How about running a brake cylinder hone into the bars? Could be just a piece of weld slag or something like that, inside the bars.

Having the same issue with my bars (Carlini bars) did you send them back or do the work yourself? I’m trying to find out what size drill bit I need to ream the hole out myself.

That is aggravation for sure. I hope the end result will be worth it.

Sorry to hear this , I'd be P'd too . Is it possible you could order a different set of bars with similar measurements and have them sooner , then just return those for a refund ? If these can't be fixed on the spot and you do have to send them back ,
