They are only 30 inch tires on 14 inch rims. Haha.

I wouldn't. I owned a 1996 Sportster for a while and they're buzzy POS's on the highway.

 

Whats your thoughts on the 2000 sportster?

 

Both Sportsters are worth about $2500 each assuming they are in good shape. Sportsters are good bar hopper bikes and good for day rides but they are not great for long highway trips. That being said Sportsters are still a lot of fun to ride. Raw, bare bones, light and nimble and plenty of power.
If I had two 4 wheelers and someone offered me a Sporty for one I think I would bite.

 

Im not looking at going on long trips just ride to work and back and around town. If i wanna go away i will load into my trailer and bring it with me. Im going to check the 95 out tomorrow . That looks the cleanest and he was willing to throw some money ontop of the trade .

 

If this helps, I've been looking for a paint shaker sportie 1200. A clean unit needing NO work and I mean NO work, I'd pay 2500 to 2700 for it. I have no idea of the quads values..

 

I have a buddy that's 69 years old, owns a 1999 883 Custom, and rides the thing all over the place......don't tell me you can't travel on a Sportster. Too many people DO. I'd trade.

 

No it's not. The picture doesn't show "excellent condition". It shows maybe "very good" condition.

That said, if you're cool with making the trade, then I'd make the trade. Only you and the other person can determine if it's a good trade or not.
