Thats pretty much where I am. I have let a few friends ride mine as well as my brother. That is what insurance is for.

1. Their are 5 maybe 6 people in the world that I would let ride. They have never asked. These are the same 5 people who I would without hesitation throw the keys to anything I own.
2. These same people are the only ones who have ever asked to sit on the motorcycle, that being said I would not have a problem with most if they wanted to sit on it.

I let my young kids sit on my bike. My 4 year old son rests his feet on my gloss black primary. It pains me a little but at the same time I want to build good memories with them which to me is worth more than pristine paint. I do polish scratches or surface blemishes out every once in a while. I have some pictures with them that I will cherish forever.

However, adults are another matter... One of my close friends really wants a Harley and never sat on one nor does he know how to ride. One day I explained to him how all the controls work and let him sit on the bike. I walked him through the startup process. He was basking in the awesomeness of exhaust and vibes until he accidentally bumped the shifter into 1st. Fortunately, I was standing in front of the bike making sure it didn't fall and the bike immediately died. No longer will I let non-riders sit on my bike while it's started. This was equally my fault as his. I haven't decided if I will let people sit while shut off, probably if I know them well enough.

1. The only one who got to ride my Wide Glide was my Dad. Right now, my cousin who has a Vicla-style Deluxe would be the only one who could ride my bikes, since he let me take his for a swing around his neighborhood when I asked how his apes felt. He's been riding many years, and I know he's a good rider.

2. My 4-year old son likes to climb on my bikes and pretend he's riding. He's the only one allowed to get fingerprints all over the paint and chrome! I've let a few friends that I ride with and have Harleys also sit on my bike to feel my bars out when they asked. I've let my mother in law and female relatives pose on my bikes, and they were very careful. As far as complete strangers, only if they're female and look like they'll be careful.

1. Yes, I've let my kids ride my bikes, I've let a fellow Legion Rider use one of mine for a funeral escort when his was down., but I am particular about who gets to ride it, I won't let just anyone with a license hop on it. A co-worker bought a brand new Ninja 636 this past year, had an old friend, whom he had let ride his old bike, want to "ride it around the parking lot". Friend took off on the bike out of the parking lot and totaled it. You have to be willing to let go of your bike if you let someone else ride it.

2. Sure I'll let people sit on it, especially kids. But I will be very close to make sure it doesn't fall over on them.

I have maybe 3 people that I will let ride my bike and also the same 3 will let me ride thiers.
One of my friends had hip surgery and called me and asked me to come get his bike and ride it to keep the battery charged. So I went and picked up his 14 Limited and told him I was riding it about 100 miles away to a Harley shop so my wife could pick up a t-shirt. He said ok.
I ended up buying a 17 Limited that day and trading my CVO sight unseen that was sitting in his driveway. He thought I traded his bike lol.
I ride an 11 Limited with matching Harley sidecar so we are constantly asked if 5hey can climb in for pics. I never say no to kids or women for some reason

My indie has ridden my bikes for a test ride but nobody else.

If she's hott with black hair then she can sit on the bike, otherwise not a chance.

#1, I have. Once. Now only the techs ride my bike. We were best friends and rode together for decades and almost always together. Let him take it a few blocks to go get some smokes. We ain't friends no more. Coincidence? Maybe.

#2. Is she hot? Seriously though, yeah I have let people sit on it with direct supervision by me and carefully followed instructions.

1 : With the few guys I ride with , two of them have earned my respect enough for me to trust them . Only under extreme cases , I'd let someone I didn't know touch my bike . Like when I broke my leg !
2: I'll only let a person sit on my bike if they first ask permission and in most cases the kick stand stays down .

#1) There's 1 guy on the planet who I'd let ride my bike. He's been my best friend for over 30 yrs. Biker and gasser drag racer. I know if something happened to the bike, he'd make it better than right.
#2) I would but haven't been asked. But no drunks, unless she super hot and 1/2 naked.
