Do You Let Others ON Your Bike?

Two Questions.:
1) Do you let other bikers ride your bike?
2) Do you let non-bikers SIT (ONLY SIT) on your bike?

Regarding #1 above, do not yell at me but the answer is yes. If, if, and only if, that person is a competent rider in solely my opinion.

Regarding #2 above, if they are not drunk, yes I let others sit on my bike. But first I typically let them know any chrome on the side can be blisteringly hot. Swing their foot high over the gas tank. And I may give instructions on how to get on the bike.

So far luckily in the last 13 years I have been riding, there has never been a mishap. But then again, in that timeframe, these matters only came up maybe 6 times or so.

1. I have a couple friends who I've been riding with for over 40 years and I KNOW they know how to ride. Sometimes we will switch bikes just to see how the other guys bike feels. Most of those times we are together and switch back after a few miles. I DID let a friend take my bike out by himself for about two hours a couple years ago because I had hurt my back and the bike had sat in the garage for almost a month because I couldn't ride it. I knew just sitting there wasn't good for it. I told him to take it out and ride it for awhile. I trusted him with it because I knew he would just "ride" it, not "beat on it". He left his bike in my driveway while he was gone on mine.

2. I NEVER let a stranger or someone who doesn't know how to ride "sit" on my bike. I did that ONE TIME when I was in my 20's. I worked with a guy who had never ridden a motorcycle in his life and he just wanted to "sit" on mine to see how it felt. I said "OK" figuring "what can it hurt", and he proceeded to get on it, pulled it off the jiffy stand, and dumped in over on it's other side, leaving a nice dent in the tank, and a broken lever and turn signal. Never again, lesson learned.

1) Hell to the No!
2) The only people that get to sit on my bike is family. I would let a hot chick sit on it if she asked but I am so damn ugly and old that it hasn't happened yet.

Let's be honest. Letting others ride your bike is a sure way to lose a friend or stop talking to a relative if something was to happen to it while in their hands. Avoid all that by not letting anyone ride the bike.

The only other person to ride my Dyna SG is my SIL. But he rides a Dyna WG.

So far, the ONLY person I have let ride any of my bikes has been my neighbor and good friend, Erich. Couple of times riding together we have traded bikes for a while. Can't say I would never under any circumstances ever let anyone else ride my bike, but it isn't likely to happen.

Sit on my bike? No one has ever asked me that. Not very likely, but a big "maybe" depending on circumstances.

Have had a riding buddy ask to ride my RK because he was in the market at the time, but to be honest have not had any ask me to ride my bike.

Sitting on the bike is the family for pics.

rk classic.

Just me and the ole lady. Nobody else sits on the bike.

I have let a few people sit on the bike, but have had them carefully bring their leg over the bike and stress to them not to let their foot touch the rear fender paint.
As far as anyone ever riding my bike, no, will not happen.
