LOL yeah I'm one suspicious guy....I'm working undercover for a billion dollar motorcycle company trying to talk you in to buying a 29K electric bike and all they gave me for my efforts is this two year old HD T shirt.

With only a 3.3 gallon tank on a 2019 ROADSTER it will only go 150 miles before it needs a fill up. Here in Florida most Walgreen's have fast chargers so you can fully charge the livewire in under an hour just about anywhere.

The livewire will not need a lot of MNT such as oil changes clutch cables etc mainly tires and breaks

This bike is for urban riding not for long hauls. In 5 years the range will be over 200 miles and the price will drop then you take it for a long ride. This thing will hit 60 MPH in 3.5 and is built to Tesla type standards. There are many cheaper electric motorcycles out there but not built to the HD quility we have come to expect in the past few years.

A livewire starts at 29K plus TTL you can get a 2019 Roadster for example for 12K plus 3K to make it your own and pay for gas for a few years for the price of the Livewire but this bike is cutting edge technology and for that you have to pay. If HD ignores new technology they are doomed to die as hundreds of other companies have done. Personaly I salute HD for putting out the Livewire.
But can you imagine the reaction if it took an hour or more to fill the Sportster tank with gas, pretty sure it wouldn't be much of a selling point.

Maybe on a used one because nobody in their right mind will pay that much.

They would have to drop the bike to under $15k to generate any type of serious interest. Harley doesn’t drop bike prices really - certainly not that much.

Great in concept - lousy final product.

I have no desire to ride around on a crotch-rocket looking bike. Harley needs to blend the old styling with the new tech.

Show me the electric Road King model that can get 175+ miles on a charge, then I'll be interested.

Convert one (or both) of the RK saddlebags into a back-up battery holder to increase range.

Blend the old with the new to make everyone happy.

Here's a quote for ya. Not only will Harley's version of the Tesla fail, but the "futuristic sound" they built into it will likely make them the laughing stock of the industry.

And wouldn't it be funny if the MoCo came up with Stage I, II, II and IV.

Stage I - Faster charge time.
Stage II - 125 miles on a charge
Stage III - 150 miles on a charge and even faster charge time
Stage IV - 200 miles on a charge

These things will sell like hotcakes. Every garage queen creator will want one to sit in their garage so they can say "Look at me - I'm special."
Same thing they do with gas Harleys...

I have no doubts they will have some sort of stage kits for the livewire.
