Someone should make a hawns device for a full face. Would require some type of shoulder underarm attachment. Sure the device would have limitations but could protect the neck up to a point. Make be a money maker. If one who marketed it could afford the liability insurance.

90% I wear a Biltwell 3/4. Most comfortable helmet I have found for me. I've also got a beanie for summer and a modular for rain.
I'm curious if anyone has used Biltwell's Lane Splitter full face model. I'd like to get another full but hopeful for some reviews before I shell out the cash.

Nolan 3/4 helmet
My go-to everyday helmet it a 3/4 open face Nolan with flip up visor and built in retractable sunshield - comfort, visibility and
moderate protection.

I wear a Lane Splitter. It’s a bit loud but comfortable and I think the style fits well. It breathes really well too. There is no way I would ride here in Texas Hill Country without full face coverage of some sort. The Cicadas are the size of your thumb and would blast right through sunglasses if you nailed one at 75. One hit my shoulder at speed and I thought I got shot.

So for the thread starter, it's a personal choice of priority, safer riding or safer crashing.

I enjoy these threads, definitely reminds me to try harder to use my FF helmet. My go to is usually crazy al’s low profile lid but in the winter I used my FF Shoei. I was out riding yesterday with the Shoei (very cold out) it’s just not the same. I can’t really hear the bike and with the apes it seems harder to turn my head with my jacket on. I know it sounds funny but with my arms somewhat up when I turn my head the helmet hits my jacket? Not a big deal, just have to get used to.
