My wife likes the comfort of the tour pak on longer trips, and the extra storage is nice when you need it. But I agree, when riding solo, I prefer having it off.

Looks good, I made the mistake of demoing a ultra limited with the wife and she fell in love with the tour pack so my next bike will have one lol. I originally planned on a street glide but she is set on the tour pack. I planned on getting the detachable hardware so I can take it off when riding solo. She only rides less than half the time I do so it will be nice to have that feature. Bike looks great!

Detachable tour pack should be standard equipment nowadays. I know why they dont, it'd just stupid they don't just add it in.

I agree totally. If for nothing else, it greatly helps in maintenance and cleaning. Not to mention entirely changing the ride dynamic of the bike.

$$$! They love selling us the detachable hardware kit.

I’m surprised to hear some guys say they don’t notice a difference. Removing weight way up high like that makes a big difference. I love the way my Limited looks and handles without it. I had a detachable on my Street Glide too. But when I need storage it’s the best! And yes the lady loves the comfort and having her own speakers back there.
