Always looking for an empty parking lot or quiet street to practice most all of the above. Going to look into locating those bar guards especially for my trips to PLP with FrankEV and the rest of our HOG group. |

Here is a link to where to get engine and saddlebag guard "guards" that someone else posted: http://customlevercovers.com/pro-guards/

Here is what I use. Permanently mounted and chromed. When riding in classes, or all day parking lot events, these come off and I throw on a set without chrome. They have been ground down, re-welded I don't know how many times. Also have a set for the saddle bag bars.

There are are a lot of folks around the country training and competing on personal bikes, myself included. If you guard them up you can protect them pretty well. Are the crashbars & other protection quick to bolt on/take off? I would really like to protect my bike up for a good, take it to the limit, practice day but then be able to easily remove for everyday riding. |
Just jumping in for a moment, not really following the thread at the moment.
If u have crash bars, you can take heater hose, split it the long way and put it on the crash bars for protection. |
Crash bars themselves would be a pain to take on and off all the time, but the split shaft collars I use are easy peasy. I just leave mine on though. They are so small they are barely noticeable.

Do the split shaft collars protect as well as crash bars? Do you have pics of yours?
