Short answer: ABSOLUTELY. I got the fangs and it's night nd day. Here's a link to a topic I started about wind buffering; it's a good read that details a few options of how to handle wind buffering..

The effects of installing "fangs" on a Heritage can be a lot like doing this:
Get your bike to 40-50 MPH and cross your left arm across your chest and feel the difference in wind flow.

I've installed them on nearly all of my bikes (excluding the Springer and the Tri-Glide) and I (we) have been happy with the look and the reduction in air flow.

These look interesting, I might consider them too.

How much does a set of fangs cost? Also, are they easy on and off? I was thinking of getting a set but only using them when I plan on long trips. Put them on for the trip, take them off for every day rides.

Bubba Zanetti: I am favoring the JES Custom Accents model for my 2018 FLHCS. $110 plus shipping from upstate NY. Supposed to be easy on-off. Uses existing (4) bolts from windshield mount. Estimate 5-10 minutes.

Just ordered the JES Custom Accents 2018-P black wind deflectors, as indicated above. Once I get them installed (and the weather changes), I'll give some feedback.

I put 'em on my King & honestly couldn't tell any difference. But, I like the way they look, so they stay.

I have a Slim S. I put a factory 17" windshield on it. I didn't like the buffeting. So I added fangs, again Harley brand. The buffeting was a little less but I still didn't like it. So I took everything off and rode it naked, not me the bike. I then tried a new shield. I live close to where Long Ride Shields are made. I check these guys out, they actually gave me a shield. I put the shield on as well as the fangs. I figured it would be ok for the winter helping to be able to ride more in the cold weather. I was absolutely amazed. No buffeting, in fact the only wind blast I get is on my shins. This past summer I took my annual trip with the naked bike. This year I believe I may just ride with the windshield. It is detachable, so I can take it off when I am just touring local sights. The fangs do not come off without a little wrenching but it is not really necessary to take them off anyway. Hope this helps.

I added a set of HD fangs for the previous generation of Heritage bikes. My only issue is that they touch the crasher when I turn the forks to full lock. Not a lot but enough to matter. I tested them out on the freeway last weekend and for me they literally transformed the bike. It is so much more pleasant to ride than it was before I installed them.

My .02 for what it's worth.

I would say you should open another browser window tight now and order a pair. I ordered the JES fangs for my ‘19 Heritage, installed them in the preferred manner in less than 5 minutes with a torx screwdriver and some locktite. I can’t believe the difference. A whole new world: comfort, vision and safety. Looks? Meh, but don’t care, maybe there are better looking ones out there.
