Default Clutch not disengaging?

So I noticed that my '18 Slim was hard to push around with the engine off and the clutch lever pulled all the way in--almost like I was dragging a brake. It also tends to jump forward a bit on engine start, stalls, and starts on the 2nd try unless I make sure it's in Neutral first. The kicker was I had to move my wife's bike and it rolled with little effort compared to mine. Does that sound like the clutch isn't fully disengaging somehow and something needs adjustment?

Could be. But it's not uncommon for the clutch plates to stick

Starting in neutral is good but also holding it in while holding the front brake is better

Push your bike in neutral, start it in first gear with your foot on the brake.

"Wet" clutches never fully disengage.

The 18 Slim has a hydraulic clutch.

A thought may be that there is too much oil in the primary, leading to the plates to stick more when cold.

# 1 Do a clutch adjustment.
# 2 Check the amount of fluid in the primary, too much will make the clutch drag.
See service manual for both recommended procedures.

The Owner’s Manuel says to start in neutral. As RK4ME said, wet clutches never fully disengage, particularly when the oil is cold.

M8 can barely roll in gear with clutch 0ulled in.,

My mistake. I was thinking of the Slim S.

Still, I would consider that you might have too much oil in the primary. Good luck.
