I bought a bottle of Rain X plastic water repellent based on some reviews from forum members. I haven't tried it, so I don't know how well it works or how long it lasts before having to re-apply.

Rain-X
Wiping the shield with your hand/ glove insert.
Turing your head left or right to let the wind speed dispel the water.
If you have a windsheild one can also approach and let the wind speed's
downward flow at the w/s lip dispel the water.

I think that is the list.
No mention of a fogging face shield, yet, which IMO
is more difficult/ nuisance.

Rain riding (racing) is an art IMO.

How do you keep the face shield clear of the rain drops? I tried that stuff you coat the shield with, doesn't work at all.
My friend, I LOVE LOVE LOVE riding in the rain. It would be embarrassing if I shared with you how many diff products I purchased that were anti-fog and not anti-fog with all of them failing. Or you have to RE-APPLY it EACH time you ride which makes no sense since each time u ride it does not necessarily rain. So that is impractical and a royal PIA.

Bottom line, what I found was this........do nothing as far as an application. But do this...

1) If u have a banf or tube or anything around your face holding your exhaled (warm) breath from being expelled away from you, then lower it. When exhaled breath goes up to the glasses or mask, you get quick fogging in the rain.

2) I pull my eyeglasses off my face a small amount maybe 1/4" or so to let ambient air temp to go behind the glasses and help stop fogging. (I am not 100% sure that helps but I think so.)

3) Then RS, this is a biggie, I turn my head downward a SMALL amount. Just enough so my line of sight goes out just, where the upper part of the lens goes into the frame. <-- RIGHT THERE! Right there the lens seems to always be CLEAR. No rain. No fog. It is like a magic spot you can see out clearly.

Try it next time u ride and see for yourself. Let me know how it works.

It is GREAT at low and high speeds. Day or night.

I do not love it, but it is the BEST thing I ever found. And again RS, I worked my *** off trying/buying everything I could find on the market.

Good luck.

Oh, let us know what you decide mate.

This.

With no or really low fairing, this generally isn't a problem at speed. With a taller fairing, the FF shield will not shed water well.

Keep the speed up and the rain drops blow off.
I also used gloves with built in squeegees.

I have a pair of gloves that I wear when it's raining. The palm side of gloves are swede leather which acts as a shammy cloth. A quick swipe of the shield and the rain drops are clear - works in a light rain anyway. If it's a torrential downpour maybe not.

I have always worn 3/4 or 1/2 helmets. Tried full face once - NEVER AGAIN. Don't know how anyone can wear one.
I have a flip up face shield w/visor that I put on whenever I am going to be riding in the rain. Snaps on and off with my regular visor. Other than spraying on "spray wax not paste wax" I don't do anything else and I don't have a problem.
Sometimes it will fog up, but then I just raise the shield about 1/2 inch and it clears up.

Clean your visor real good and apply some Rejex. Look it up, it's out there. Rejex is also used in place of a wax on your bike. That will keep the rain running right off your visor. I get caught in the rain all the time down here in the South.
