Ask them for, IN WRITING, a statement that the dealership will provide/ continue the same warranty if Forever goes out of business.

Personally I would decline the offer and do my own work,
Do your own work and put the difference of the dealer cost into your savings account. In other words, DIY costs $100 and dealer doing it costs $300 then put $200 into your savings. If you need "warranty forever" work, dip into your savings to pay for it.

It's not worth the paper it's printed on if you do the maintenance yerself.

These so-called forever warranty plans are just BS. Nobody would ever offer this gimmick unless they were absolutely sure of coming out ahead. It's just a way of locking you into spending more money than you need to.

I never buy extended warranties either. I've had companies hound me for months trying to sell extended warranties. Tells me they must be making a big profit off them.

Of course they're profit centers, that's why dealers offer them. Somewhere around half of the cost goes to the seller's commission. The warranty company gets what's left. Presumably it's more than enough for them to keep the lights on at the warranty place.

One added factor, the previous owner installed a Vance and Hines tuner which the dealer deactivated because they say it will void the warranty. So now I have a tuner I cannot use if I want to keep the warranty.
Total bulls****. I would NEVER go back to that dealer.

I junked a P.T. Cruiser 2 years ago, still getting 'warranty offers' on it...

This practice is quite common, unfortunately.

I left California in 2011. The state was then considering lawsuits against all those quick lube places for changing oils too frequently. Not sure how that worked out. But most folks change oils too frequently and are wasting oil.
