could you be talking about this helmet? It actually fit really well, but I was worried about the possible severe wind noise.

Go to a Cycle Gear or non-HD dealership and try on a bunch of helmets. This is the only way to find one that fits properly and is comfortable enough for you to actually wear. If you buy online, make sure the vendor has a good return policy. I hear Revzilla is really good about making sure your helmet is the correct one for you.
Be aware that sizing is all over the place, and there is no standardizing of what the sizes actually are. I wear 2XL Bell 500 3/4 helmet, but a 4XL HJC modular, and it’s a bit snug.

If you're looking for quiet avoid Simpson helmets. My Ghost Bandit looks good, is really light weight, but it's like being in a wind tunnel above 30mph and i have to use earplugs with it.
My Shark Spartan Carbon is much quieter and is good without earplugs up to 70mph. Built in sun-visor is one of the best out there, most don't drop down far enough, but that's not the case with the Shark. It's also Pinlock ready, which is a must for me with FF helmets.
If you're looking for the quietest lid out there, check out the Schuberth C3 Pro.

This it's all about how it fits your head, is it confortableto wear. I to wear a Bell helmet it fits me good and is cooler in hot weather than many others I have tried.

Thanks everyone! With your experiences running different helmets, is the one you’re currently wearing better/worse with wind noise, compared to past helmets? Obviously it depends on what bike you ride as well.. My biggest concern is the hearing loss I already have. I wear custom formed ear plugs when I ride to cut down on the sharpness of the wind noise. With adding a helmet, and wearing the ear plugs, I’m also concerned if I’ll even be able to hear my stupidly over powered sound system at interstate speeds, or if the wind noise will be amplified with the helmet.
Thanks again for the great info already!

My experience just FYI.
I am hard of hearing and wear very exspensive "in-the-ear" Hearing Aids. When I use my half helmet I can keep my hearing aids in, and yes there is wind noise, but the HA's almost act like ear plugs and for shorter duration around town type riding I don't find the wind noise too annoying.
However, for longer higher speed rides I use a JB Cruise 3/4 Shoie Helmet fitted with a Sena Bluetooth Headset. With the Shoei helmet I can not ride with my HA's in and listen to tunes on the Sena. There is very little wind noise with the shied down on the Shoei, but the HA's amplify all sound within the helmet and make the sound from the Sena just a bunch of screechy noise. Without the HA's I can ride at crusing speeds and still hear my tunes but can also hear car horns, sirens etc. very comfortably. I would think it is about the same as someone with good hearing who is using earplugs. If I add ear plugs while wearing the Shoei I can not hear anything.
I would think that you will not need to wear earplugs with a good fitting quaity brand FF helmet noted to control wind noise well.

I like Arai and they do make helmets for different head shapes. Like others have said, it is best to find a local dealer that has a lot of helmets in stock with someone who is a trained fit specialist. It's worth the extra money to get one that fits correctly. Arai isn't cheap, but they have the highest crash ratings and they do go on sale from time to time.
I am currently wearing a Arai Defiant Pro-Cruise. It is made for a more upright riding position rather than a laid forward position like most sport bikes would put you in.I like it. It does have less wind noise than previous helmets I have worn, but I still use ear plugs. I do believe that is has less wind force lifting the helmet as well. I like the split visor too.
