No pin strip on the tank?????
I could be wrong but all the early RK classics had a pin strip on the tank?

Yea....that bike has been painted. That will make it difficult to match the paint since the owner doesn't appear to be the one who painted it, as he doesn't know the paint code. I highly doubt that's a Harley paint code though. A good body shop should be able to mix up something that will be "close", or he'll have paint the entire bike when he gets the hard bags if he wants a perfect match.

Thanks Solospec!

Well, the plot thickens. According to the VIN my bike started life as a 2001 ROAD KING POLICE (FLHPI) so it's definitely a custom paint job. Obviously this has been heavily modified as it looks nothing like a Police bike. As mentioned above, I'll need to get a spray shop to match the paint job.

im not a dealer so I wasn’t able to find much of anything after I entered my VIN. Am I looking in the wrong place?

To be honest, there's not much info on there - it's just basic stuff, although there's a lot of documentation such as service manuals and handbooks.

I think that the factory color was called ‘Mystic Green/Black’ on my ‘99 RKC.

Bikes sometimes have a visible sticker under fenders and under fuel tank with name of paint.
