It's HD, obviously they would give it a new name. I'm just talking about combining features of existing bikes to make a new model.

Why do you say that?

A lot of people like a touring bike without all the frills on current bikes. Some don't care for anything but a basic, and much cheaper, touring bike. Guys that own and ride Road Kings are a good example. All they care about is a place for some storage and some wind protection, and they're happy. Give me a nice batwing and a set of hard bags on the touring frame, and I'll be the first in line. I own a Street Glide for that reason, but I could very easily do without the radio. Mine did the famous Harmon Kardon "no sound" thing last fall, and the only reason I got it fixed was because I just can't stand having something on my bike that doesn't work. Not because I missed it, really. Yea, I'm all for bringing back a standard Electra Glide. Price it at the $18,000 range, market it as an entry level bagger, and watch them fly out the door.

Lots of folks (including me) have no use for an infotainment system on a motorcycle. Just riding the bike is enough entertainment for me.

MONEY. They lowered it, added a radio, different wheels, a shorter windshield and added $3k to the price and called it a StreetGlide, marketing brilliance!

Ya, I get that, but as mentioned about.. Isn't that a Road King? Or you want a street glide without an infotainment system? I think if the MoCo did that, that it wouldn't equate to some huge discounted price just because the infotainment wasn't there. I guess for me, if you don't want to listen to the radio, don't turn it on. But if you ever wanted to.. it's there. Otherwise, buy a Road King. There are after market fairings to that you can put on a Road King. Just another option.

Aftermarket Fairngs

Sure you can buy a Road King then get an aftermarket fairing, but why not just sell people the bike they want? HD already makes the fairings, would just need a new inner fairing without the infotainment stuff.
