I'd love to have a 35* day... with no salt on the roads... Hell, it got up to 60* one day last week but the roads are still white with salt. I'm starting to get the shakes, the bike hasn't moved since January 5th.

Cant ride now with all of the salt here in Maine but I'll OCCASIONALLY ride in the mid 30's. In the late Summer/early Fall here the morning will be in the mid 30's in the morning but 70's after work. I'll suck it up in the morning and head to work bundled up on the King knowing that when I get out I'll be in a T shirt coming home.

At 35 deg, when moving at 50 mph, the windchill makes it feel like 10-15ish...degrees. this is why most say they dont ride below 50. At 50 degrees, while riding, it feels right around freezing....

OP, I dont care what ya say, you were cold on that ride, and if you didnt have a helmet, even colder.

It ain't the cold, but the salt that keeps me from riding.

Damn that's a long commute to work.

Right on Kojak. Got about 80 miles in today in the mid 30's. Had to stop at a grocery store a few miles from home and after just a bit my legs thawed out. Once that happened I thought that I was gonna pee my pants!!!

You guys are hard core. I gotta get some cold weather gear but all that stuff starts to add up quick like everything else.

If I'm breathing, I'm riding. Snow in New Hampshire. Snow in Texas. Rain and wind in both. Tropical storm? I've got rain gear.
If you're going to ride, you will get cold, hot or wet. Pick two and go for it.
