Discount on previous year NEW models?
#11
This time of year in Ohio the dealer could care less about selling anything. The one nearest me will have one guy on the floor and he will be sipping coffee and playing on the computer. Eventually the right fish will come along this spring and pay sticker for that 2018.

I paid 2 k less then MSRP when I bought a 15 a model year later. Put 5k of engine work in, got the 1k and 5 k included. Only thing was the dealership was, 3 hours away and I drive past atleast 8 dealerships to get there. Shop around, just cuz you don't buy your bike at your local doesn't mean your not part of the "family".

If they don't start to discount most everything, times ahead are going to get even tougher. Time will tell. Look at blue book for an 18 with like 5k miles on it... That's where I'd start. It's going to lose all that value the minute you drive it off the show room floor. Don't care if it's new.

I paid sticker for my 17 a couple weeks after the Dyna line was cut. Was keeping an eye out on inventory all summer for a Low Rider S, but once the announcement came, the 5 or 6 that were available new or used were suddenly bought up. Was only able to get mine because the dealer just got in their last 2017 semi the day I called, and happened to have one on it. Bought it before it hit the showroom floor.
