Default DAVIDA helmet??? Anyone?

Does anyone have this helmet? is it any good?

i was quite intrigued by this helmet with leather liner and old school look. Just not sure I wont boil my head on 90*F day

Fit was awesome and I kinda dig it and these suppose to be super quiet based on what sale person said.

Looks like good quality product hand made in UK

Yes they are competitors on UK market from what I learned.

I am also considering Arai V-classic as this one has nice vent system for this style of 3/4

I've got a Davida 'Jet' type 3/4 helmet, nice helmet, well made and it fits tightly and doesn't lift as some 3/4 helmets do. As you say it's quiet because it's padded where your ears go. Down side they are quite expensive, fairly heavy and if you wear sunglasses, because of the ear padding and tight fit they can be a pita to put on. I live in the UK were the tempature rarely gets higher than 80 degrees but don't have a problem with a 'boiled head'.
I doubt whether I'd buy another Davida, probably go for lighter carbon fibre Version of the same style, One last thing if you buy one don't get it on line unless you've tried one on and know it fits. Cos' Davidas head measuring idea doesn't work to well, according to their measurement I needed a large helmet, ended up with an XX large.

Thank you for your reply I was actually hoping someone from UK will reply as this is first time I see this helmets on US end.

I tried one during motorcycle show (L) but this one was with pins that allow attachment of visor but coudnt find it on Davida website which is strange.

appreciate your reply on heat with this leather liner as I was really curious about that. Unfortunately we are getting quite hot here in the summer so I am kinda worry about no air channels.

I have always liked 3/4 helmets, full face just isn't my thing
I have tried multiple different helmets and actually went with a cheap half shell with ear pads, even in cooler weather conditions

I am looking for 3/4 helmet that is quiet, vented and with visor so provide good protection from sun. I located one arai v-classic that has all these features but want to speak with dealer as one I tried was bit tight on back of my neck while size of my head was Large so I will have to know what are my options for cheek pads to assure better fit before I spend big bucks

For my 3/4 I use the Shoei rj Platinum. I really love this helmet. I think that it is quieter than my neotec modular helmet. Weight is fine. I was used to wearing a 1/2 so it took me a day or 2 to get used to it.Now it feels just normal to me. Air flow is great and has pockets for speakers if you use a communicator or listen to music. Snap on visor for some shade and has slots for your glasses to slide on and off. Can't say enough good things about this helmet. Cycle gear has them in stock on their shelves if you want to try one on before buying. A bit pricey but like the old saying goes: If you have a 10 dollar head, buy a 10 dollar helmet. My head is worth the price if this lid.

Shoei RJ Platinum is my back up choice actually if things wont work with Arai set up.

I really would like to hear more comments on this helmet if possible as I heard Arai air flow system is the best there is but if I cant do that Shoei RJ might be my choice at the end. Really liked Shoei JO but this is non vented so it wont work for me.
