Somewhere on Youtube I read a claim HD laid off engineers around 2010 when they ended Buell. Has anyone heard if they laid off engineers that worked on Harleys at that time as well?

Did HD quality start going downhill around '10?
That was 9 years ago; just 2 years into the 'great recession.' Ford let go 15,000 white collar workers over 2007, 8, and 9. GM and Chrysler went bankrupt. If HD did not lay anyone off I would be completely surprised.
Between 1990 and 2018 I've owned 4 large touring bikes - 3 Harleys and a Gold Wing. They all has a few minor problems over the miles. Its just that the Gold Wing had more than the others.
I heard that the type of air used in the tires makes a huge difference in available torque. Is this true. I read it on the internet but I am asking for a friend.
