Default Short ride today

Had time for a short ride today here in the west Phoenix valley. High of 58 degrees today, much better than most of the country I know, so I'm not complaining. Picture included for proof. Dragged something in a slow turn again. Can't figure out what touches down first. In you all's experience what drags on a Softail Deluxe? Maybe it's my technique coming from a life of sport bikes. On another note, see the snow on the peaks in the distance? That hasn't happened here in decades. Crazy weather here in the Valley of the Sun just like everyplace else in the country.

I am jealous. We're expecting a "bomb cyclone " tomorrow and widespread power outages.

Left turn or right turn Chris? For me it was floorboards first turning left and then exhaust first turning right.

Great looking bike man.

Both times it was left turns. I can't feel any damage on the bottom of anything. And thanks, I'm really enjoying this bike.

There's a little peg sticking down on the bottom of the floorboards. It should be the first thing to hit on either side. I think it's replaceable if you wear it down. Really crappy design or something was modded if the muffler scrapes first.

Same here. Came from a GSX to a Softail Heritage. The first time that I scrapped the floorboards I almost pee in my pants. My wife was with me and she got scared too. She probably thought that I had forgotten how to ride. I changed my riding habits after I figured what I was doing wrong and now it has been a few seasons that I haven't scraped the floorboards.

I went out on 'Old Horse', my '99 RK Classic, and surveyed the flooding in and around Nashville. A section of hillside has collapsed across I-24E just north of the city, and it's going to make my morning commute a gold-plated pain in the ***. The Cumberland River is at the top of its banks or a little over in many places, and it will probably rise in the next few days before it goes back down.

Look at your jiffy stand, perhaps the spring is weakening and the stand drags in turns?
