Btw, all of the tools that the service manual will tell you that you need- belt tension checker, socket type oil filter wrench, even the “d.o.t. 4 brake fluid moisture tester”, you can find on Wally worlds online store & probably amazon as well. I bought all that crap for about 25 bucks

Yea right, probably wouldn’t hurt to pull the cylinders too and check pistons and rings too according to your logic.

Don't skimp on the tools. Not saying you have to get professional mechanic's grade but get decent stuff and always use the right tool. Remember, you are saving money by buying these tools so don't cheap out.

Seems obvious, but took a while to convince myself of this, which I regretted.

There are a number of tool threads with practical advice that can save you money and help you choose wisely.

thats what you’d recommend at 5000 miles? If that’s the case I’ll take it in to have the valves looked at.

I have 2018 Street Bob too with 4200 miles on it. I called two dealers to ask how much they charge for 5000 mile service. The first dealer said $300 with synthetic and the other one said $460 with synthetic. Assuming they do the same items and procedures, that's $160 difference.
