I am all for Custom Dynamics, no problems there, issue is the sell the whole tail light. I need two of them that is a lot of $$. Hoping just a bulb will work.
If you do decide to replace the whole assemblies, our new ProBEAM taillights would work really well for you. They're DOT/SAE compliant and super bright! Here's a couple of photos.

Thanks for all the input guys, one of the recommendations was Eagle lights, I found these. Emailed Eagle they stated that these would work in a tail light.
I will order them in the morning. Hopefully they will work ok.

I have to agree. Personally I've never understood the rationale behind shelling out tens of thousands for a Harley, then cheaping out on important safety stuff like lighting.
By the way, just installed the CD Dynamic Ringz turn signals in my new Street Glide, very impressed. Didn't even have to sync them with the BCM.
